About the scholarship
The Makesworth Accountants Scholarship is established by Makesworth Accountants, a Globally Approved Employer. Makesworth is a multi-award-winning accountancy, tax, audit and business advisory firm of chartered accountants based in Harrow, with branches across the UK.
Applications and awards are provided and administered by The Makesworth Foundation.
1 Award
Full One-Year Scholarship
One scholarship will be awarded to one male or female candidate based on merit.
The Full One-Year Scholarship will cover:
- ACCA subscription fees for 2027
- ACCA examination fees for one paper per exam session, up to a maximum of four papers during 2027
1 Award
Highly Commended Award
- One male or female candidate will receive a Highly Commended Award in recognition of their merit and potential.
- The award will cover ACCA subscription fees 2027.
Who can apply
The scholarship is open to registered ACCA students in Nepal, including:
- Current ACCA students at the Fundamentals stage (Applied Knowledge or Applied Skills)
- New entrants to ACCA with a strong academic background
Applicants must
- Show a genuine commitment to pursuing and completing the ACCA qualification
- Hold a minimum academic qualification of HSEB/NEB or equivalent
Application essay
Write 500–1,000 words that show your motivation, commitment, aspirations and potential as a future accounting and finance professional. Your essay must:
- Be written independently, in your own words, without AI tools
- Include your ACCA ID
- Answer: Why did you choose to pursue ACCA?
- Answer: What are your aspirations after becoming an ACCA member?

Include your full name and ACCA ID in the email. Do not send other personal details such as date of birth, full address or family details at this stage.

Congratulations to Prerna Thapa, our first-ever candidate, on being selected for the One Year Makesworth Scholarship 2022. We received more than 100 applications from highly talented and deserving candidates. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate all of them and it was very difficult to select one among the top 5 interviewed candidates. We are happy for Miss Prerna to be the winner and hope this serves as inspiration and motivation to our future candidates. Makesworth will continue the journey of providing scholarships to deserving students every year as part of our commitment to giving back to the community and the accounting profession
